Create a Portfolio

  1. Click on Portfolios in the left-hand Navigation Menu

  2. Click "Create new portfolio" in the top right corner

  3. Select from the two options:

    1. Create from blank or,

    2. Create from Portfolio Type

  4. If you choose Portfolio Type, review the index and select the relevant type.

  5. Next, you will be asked to input key details:

    1. Portfolio name

    2. Portfolio ID - if you have multiple Portfolios for the same Organisation you should consider adopting a naming/numbering protocol to make it easy to find and report on Portfolio status

    3. Portfolio description - a good description will help participants understand the objective of the project and reduce ad-hoc questions.

    4. Jurisdiction(s) - note that only those jurisdictions which are selected at Portfolio level are available at Matter level. This is to ensure good data quality and control over the work being conducted.

    5. Client - it’s important to select the correct Organisation.

    6. Practice area(s) - this information will make it easy for everyone to find the Portfolio and will support internal reporting.

  6. You can now invite Participants to the Portfolio and select their permissions.

    1. You can search for Users by name or email

    2. When you invite a User they receive a notification immediately.

  7. At the "Review: Summary" stage you have the opportunity to edit any details you have previously entered before the Portfolio is created.

  8. Select "Publish" to create your new portfolio.

Note: Invited participants will instantly receive an email notification.
