Each Portfolio is modular, in that Admins can select what modules are deployed. The main modules within Fibonacci are:

  • Portfolio Overview: This is the landing page for the Portfolio. It provides insights into the status of the Matters inside the Portfolio and surfaces Tasks and Events (from all Matters in the Portfolio) which are coming up, as well as anything which is overdue. The overview is designed to help stakeholders understand, at a high level, the performance of the whole project.

  • Information Panel: Every project has important information that all Participants need to know, like the Client Organisation, Jurisdictions, and Practice Areas. This information is generally static so we created the Information Panel on the left of your screen which is persistent but can be minimised at any time. The information you see is provided when a Portfolio is created and can be updated from the Manage Portfolio menu at any time.

  • Matters: The Matter Index lists all of the Matters within the Portfolio. It provides a great overview of important information about each of the Matters including: Status, Blueprint (completion %), Type, Jurisdiction, and other custom fields which can be set up to support the type of work you’re doing.

  • Blueprint: This is your advanced task management engine. It enables you to build a task plan for all Matters, big or small, complex or straightforward. Tasks can be assigned to Participants, dates set, and Documents linked to tasks (amongst many other helpful things). This ensures that the work is being completed on time and teams are working together efficiently. Tasks in the Blueprint are visible in your personal dashboard and also in the Portfolio and Matter Overviews.

  • Timeline: A visual representation of important Events and Tasks which have been created at the Portfolio or Matter level. Events are standalone and not linked to the Blueprint. Tasks are surfaced from their respective Blueprints. The Timeline can be filtered to help you see information relevant to you and exported to help with reporting.

  • Drive: is where all of the Documents relevant to the Portfolio (and underlying Matters) are kept. Users can upload their Documents, set permissions, assign tags and even edit online together (including using coauthoring).

What is a Portfolio Type?

A Portfolio Type is a template Portfolio that has been setup so that it is ready to use for a particular type of project. This includes creating custom fields and statuses which you can then use to store specific information which relate to the type of work being delivered. Setting up a Portfolio Type means that you have consistent data when doing the same type of work which leads to better reporting over time. It also allows team members to deploy best practices each time.

How can I see my Portfolios?

You can view all the Portfolios you have created or have access to by clicking on Portfolios in the Navigation Menu on the left of your screen.

To access an individual Portfolio click on the Portfolio’s name. If you need help identifying the Portfolio you want to view, you can search for a Portfolio by using the search bar or you can access detailed filters by clicking on the horizontal three-dot icon on the left of “+Create Portfolio”.
