Assigning Permissions to a Participant

When you add a User as a Participant on a Portfolio or Matter you need to select what permissions they will have. There are three levels of permissions:

  1. Owner - Participant can invite other Users and generally has full control of the Portfolio or Matter. Only owners can delete a portfolio or a matter.

  2. Collaborator - Participant can view and edit almost everything but can’t delete objects (like documents and tasks).

  3. Viewer - Participants can view everything and add comments but can’t make changes (including uploading information).

You can change a Participant’s permissions at any time by:

  1. Clicking on the relevant Manage Portfolio or Manage Matters menu

  2. Selecting the Invited Members section from the left-side menu

  3. Clicking on the downward arrow to the right of the Participants name and changing their permissions. The change is made instantly.
