Before we get going, please check if your organisation already has an approved authenticator app and make sure you comply with any internal information security relating to MFA.

We’ve set out the steps below to set up your authenticator app:

  1. When you first log in to Fibonacci you will be prompted to secure your account with an authenticator app.

  2. Open your app, add a new account and scan the QR code displayed within Fibonacci. If the QR code isn’t scanning then select "Trouble Scanning?" (or similar) and follow the instructions to enter the “Setup Key” manually.

  3. Your app will give you a passcode. Enter it into Fibonacci and click “Continue”. (see how Google Authenticator works here and how Microsoft Authenticator works here).

  4. Fibonacci will display a “Recovery Code”. Write down the recovery passcode and store it somewhere safe. You will need it to log in if you do not have access to your authenticator app. Click “Continue”.

  5. You have now successfully logged into Fibonacci. Remember, each time you log in you will need to get a new passcode using your authenticator app.

Logging in with MFA - Authenticator App

Each time you log in to Fibonacci you will need to use your authenticator app to get a passcode.

  1. Input your Username and Password

  2. When asked for your passcode, open your authenticator app and check the current passcode for your Fibonacci account

  3. Enter the passcode into Fibonacci

Logging in when you don’t have access to your Authenticator App

If you do not have access to your authenticator app, you can use the recovery code you saved when you first set up the MFA for your account:

  1. Input your Username and Password

  2. When you’re asked for your passcode click "Try another method?" and choose "Recovery Code"

  3. Enter the recovery code you saved when you first set up your MFA and follow the prompts.
